QA Engineer – Automation Testing

A QA Automation Tester, also known as a QA Automation Engineer or Quality Assurance Automation Engineer, is responsible for automating the testing process to ensure software quality and reliability. They design and implement automated tests, write scripts, and manage the automation testing protocols. This role involves collaborating with developers and other stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle.

JOB DESCRIPTION
- Working knowledge of Web Service Concepts, JavaScript, and/or Java, JSON/XML
- Proficient in using tools like Postman or similar
- Ability to design and maintain test automation frameworks and develop automated test scripts.
- Proficient in test automation tools such as Selenium or Karate framework or similar.
- Strong background and experience in manual testing concepts, methodologies, and SDLC models.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Analyze application/testing requirements, implement automation solutions for automated testing of applications/products.
- R&D on any tool if required, and should be able to try to get hands-on
- Design, develop, maintain, and execute automation scripts.
- Build and maintain automation frameworks/libraries, tool interfaces.
- Analyze execution results, produce reports on automated executions.
- Engage with program/project managers, business analysts, developers, testers, and product owners to ensure that all test automation activities occur in a timely fashion.
- Hands-on experience with Selenium or API automation.
- Experience working in an Agile, Incremental & Iterative, Scrum environment.
- Experience in using TDD/BDD frameworks like Cucumber/Karate/jBehave/Specflow. (anyone).
- Proven experience in all aspects of integration, functional, and regression testing.
- Ability to identify gaps in the testing process, suggest/implement improvements.
- Ability to think out of the box, adapt, and implement innovative solutions.
- Strong problem-solving, logical, and analytical skills.
- Communicating with the Development Team & other relevant teams for Defect resolution
- Providing Test Results and other inputs for creating Test Report and Test Sign off documentation.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Overall, 0-2 years of experience in Testing Applications and desktop Web/Enterprise Applications.
MUST HAVE SKILLS
- Selenium or Karate, Java, Cucumber, Jenkins, Database, API Testing (Manual)
- Knowledge of revision control software (ex., SVN, Git, etc.)
EDUCATION QUALIFICATION
- Bachelor’s in engineering or Master’s in computer applications
