As a Qualcomm Software Engineer, you will design, develop, create, modify, and validate embedded and cloud edge software, applications, and/or specialized utility programs that launch cutting-edge, world-class products that meet and exceed customer needs. Qualcomm Software Engineers collaborate with systems, hardware, architecture, test engineers, and other teams to design system-level software solutions and obtain information on performance requirements and interfaces.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
Job Overview :
- Work on the design and development of the 5G protocol stack. Work on layers 1, 2, and 3 of the 5G NR protocol stack.
- 3GPP 5G NR Feature development
- Job responsibilities include system-level feature coding, development, and execution of unit tests.
- Work with the internal test team and external customers to resolve issues.
- Participate in 3GPP 5G NR feature development, including analysis, implementation, integration, and validation of new standards and features.
- Perform system-level feature coding, debugging, and unit test development to ensure high-quality software deliverables.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including testing, integration, and hardware teams, to achieve end-to-end system performance.
- Analyze and debug issues using logs, traces, and protocol analyzers; support internal test teams and external customers in resolving complex interoperability and performance issues.
- Contribute to feature integration, regression testing, and performance optimization of the 5G stack across multiple hardware and software platforms.
- Work on call processing, signaling procedures, and 5G NR message handling for various modes (NSA/SA).
- Ensure compliance with 3GPP standards and participate in feature reviews, design discussions, and system-level performance assessments.
- Participate in continuous improvement of protocol stack architecture, including scalability, modularity, and resource efficiency.
- Support customer field trials, interoperability testing (IOT), and network integration activities to ensure smooth deployment of 5G features.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, ECE, EE, CE, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, and 1+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
- Master’s degree in Engineering, ECE, EE, CE, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
- Familiarity with 3GPP 5G NR Specifications
Preferred Qualifications.
- Experience in NR or LTE protocol development experience.
