In This Role, You Will

  • Perform general clerical operations tasks that are routine in nature.
  • Receive, log, batch, and distribute work.
  • File, photocopy, and answer phones.
  • Prepare and distribute incoming and outgoing mail.
  • Regularly receive direction from a supervisor and escalate questions and issues to more experienced roles.
  • Work under close supervision following established procedures.

Required Qualifications:

  • 0-6 months of operations support experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Job Expectations:

  • Bachelor’s degree holder, preferably business course
  • Fresh Graduates and/or 6+ months experience in banking operations (Commercial Banking or CIB)
  • Experience in payment processing. Knowledge in any of the following: International Funds Transfer, SWIFT, Federal Reserve Wire Transfer Payments, Foreign Exchange Payments, is a must
  • Knowledge of Message types SWIFT, FED WIRE, CHIPS, Telex, and the IntelliTrace system is an advantage.
  • Good at both verbal and written communication skills
  • Good investigation and problem-solving skills
  • Organizational and detail-oriented skills
  • Sound risk management mindset and good understanding of compliance – AML/OFAC
  • Ability to handle high volume and short SLA or turnaround time
  • Ability to work in a changing and fast-paced work environment
  • Ability to manage and prioritize work to meet deadlines despite frequent interruptions, and able to multitask
  • Able to perform shift work (incl. Night Shifts) and report on IN public holidays if they fall on Mondays to Fridays, including Christmas and New Year’s Eve

  • The team member will perform a variety of wire transfer operational tasks for complex processes or functions under limited supervision. The team member will be responsible for processing inbound and outbound payment messages.
  • Duties may include: receiving, repairing, and verifying transactions; contacting appropriate resources as needed; and following established policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Payment processing types range from simple to moderately complex / exception processing related to amendments, cancellations, and reversing accounting entries.

  • When more complex payments are received, this will be referred to the more senior team member as per the guidelines and escalation procedures of the business.
